Luxury apartment in the center of Cracow

Batorego - Luxury Apartment

Our apartment is located on Stefana Batorego street in the center of Cracow, in a historic building from 1892.

In the end of XIX century it has been a home to a famous Polish artist and journalist Ignacy Sewer Maciejowski and a center of a Polish cultural life. Writers and artists were meeting here to discuss arts and politics, among them Adam Asnyk, Stanisław Wyspiański, Władysław Reymont, Tadeusz Miciński, Włodzimierz Tetmajer, Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer, Jacek Malczewski, Leon Wyczółkowski and Artur Górski. This extremely hospitable house, led by Mrs. Marta Maciejowska, was described by Tadeusz Boy-Żeleński in his novel “You know this country? ( Znasz li ten kraj? )”.

In recent years, the building and the apartment has been renovated, with the highest attention to details, by the current owners. They cultivate the tradition of the Maciejowski family of meetings with artists, writers and theater and cinema makers who them often host.

Currently the apartment is offered for the short time rental to tourists visiting Cracow. It is beautifully furnished and hosts a small collection of paintings of contemporary artists from Krakow.
